Dandelions are both edible and medicinal with vitamins and minerals in all parts of the plant.

The young leaves and flower petals are eaten raw in salads.

The flowers petals are delicious when deep fried as fritters.

Fermented flowers make a flavorful and medicinal herbal wine.

The dried root is brewed into a coffee.

Old timers swear by Dandelion Tea as a spring tonic for stomach, kidney, gallbladder, and liver problems. As a source of nutritous food and medicinal resources what's all the fuss about? Well, anything excessive becomes unappreciated and sometimes hated and viewed as a nuisance. No matter how diligent the efforts, it is impossible to control the spreading of dandelion seeds.
