COLD SNAPS & SEED BURST
Last night's full moon and clear skies brought a heavy frost and chilly 32 degrees. The milkweed pods are bursting and parachuting their seeds into the morning breeze.
My elders say that during the war the downy softness from the milkweek pod was harvested and stuffed inside quilts and coats for insulation.
