STOP & SMELL THE ROSES
While clipping some Arborvitae greens I notice the minature roses blooming at my feet. I pause and take in the smell of this heirloom rose that once grew in my mother's childhood yard. Ten years ago I planted a small cutting and it continues to thrive with very little attention. The roses are only the size of a quarter but their fragrance is dynamic.
The pressure of the holiday season is already beginning but hopefully these little roses will serve as a reminder for me to stop and enjoy the pleasant moments along the way.
