THE WIND AND THE WILLOW
Graceful as a willow. The willow is the first tree to leaf out in the springtime
and one of the last to drop leaves in the fall.

This willow tree endures the strong winds from the west each season as it shelters my herb garden. Now that it is mature, I realize that I should have given it more support in those tender years....... much like reflecting on parenting skills with our children. Perhaps the blizzard winds have strengthen this willow for the better giving it deep roots and the ability to be graceful in any storm. A comforting thought in regards to parenting too.
