Strawberry Shortcake
One Egg Cake
1 2/3 Cup Flour
1 Cup sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
l/3 Cup Shortening (Crisco)
1 egg
2/3 Cup Milk
1 tsp vanilla
Mix eggs, sugar, and shortening then add remaining ingredients
Batter will be thick
Pour and spread into 9 inch round or square pan
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
Serve warm or cold with fresh strawberries and milk
