Did you ever catch a butterfly?   I was able to catch one with my bare hands just a few days ago.  When I opened the backdoor to my patio a little butterfly fluttered towards my face.  I raised my right hand to swish it away, but was able to clasp it in my palm.  I shivered with delight as I felt it tickle my hand.  Wanting to share this unbelievable moment with someone else, I ran to show my daughter.  When I found her, I released the butterfly from an open window.  We watched it fly effortlessly to the vegetable garden below.  It seemed to be grateful for its new lease on life.
  
Was it an omen?  According to common knowledge (otherwise known as Wikipedia), an omen is a phenomenon that is believed to foretell the future, often signifying the advent of change. It may be considered either good or bad depending on the interpretation.  I think someone very close to me will be 'flying away'  soon and it is going to be a beautiful experience.
